OUR PROJECTS

All of our projects will be run by the lead Raba farmer and expert who will also engage people from the NDIS and mental health sector to helpupskill and create inclusion.

We would also so like to engage the school traineeship program to make sure that

we have a future generation of farmers.

COMMUNITY GARDEN

Under phase one we will build 25 community ‘garden beds’ which can be rented and utilised by the public.

Our crew will be available to coach and mentor those with budding green thumbs!

BUSH TUCKER AND FOOD FOREST

Using agroforest techniques, we will re-forest the area with a wide range of indigenous edible bush tucker and medicinal plants.

This will be done in collaboration with the First Nations

peoples of the area.

Once established, this garden will be used as an educational resource and the harvest sold locally. We will include a traditional gathering circle (bora ring) and a fire pit for sharing the story.

GREENHOUSES

We will grow all our own plants from seedlings to use in our farming systems and programs and will sell these plants to the local community

CREEK REGENERATION

Working under the guidance of local First Nation people we will restore the lines of Raba Creek and beyond. We will hold on-site workshops to inform all landowners, and others, to understand the need for this practice.

SYNTROPIC SYSTEM

This system will be introduced in the flood prone area of the property allowing us to grow additional food for the local community promote regenerative agriculture.

THE BAMBOO CIRCLE

The Bamboo circle has been created as a healing place where the community will gather for meditation, yoga, tai chi etc.

SMALL PADDOCKS

Starting with four paddocks, these will both be used by RaBa and rented out to grow food and feed for the chickens and rescued boy cows.
This will showcase the integration of animals into the farming system and allow the community to have a consistent supply of free range and organic eggs.

COW PADDOCK

This is where our rescued babies will graze on the grass that we will re-sow allowing them to enjoy their life and bring happiness to all that come into contact with them.

They will continue to work their magic by supporting people with anxiety and trauma; they will also produce manure throughout the Farm.

MARKET/COMMUNITY AREA

This is the largest space on the property allowing the community to gather, share, listen to music, connect with nature and enjoy hand crafted and environmentally sustainable products.

We will host these events at least monthly.

WRITERS/POETS/ ARTISTS & STORYTELLERS CORNER

This sacred space will be used for mind therapy, counselling, story writing and other creative pursuits – all to share.
